Mods for the fenders and hoods are mechanical adjustments to allow the hood to fit and line up.
Body shop can do it, but it took them lots of time doing little adjustments to get the fitment correct.
Add of course that will cost more money...

I would accept light modifications just as he described to have the sexy hood on my car. It is worth it IMO. Besides, I couldn't see if any paint job was done other than the hood itself.
The fenders were blended. But I don’t see any mods to the hood at all.
Bought from BMC Extreme Customs
Actual Shelby Product
https://www.bmcextremecustoms.net/2018-2019-shelby-super-snake-hood.html
And they gave me an additoonal discount on July 4th weekend.

But be aware
The hood is larger - longer and wider - than the stock and requires significant fender modification.
When I called Shelby, they have no instructions - just said any good body shop can do it.
Took my body shop the first week just to get it fitted properly and costs me extra.

But it does look great
please explain. What significant fender modifications were needed? And if the hood was longer than the stick did you need to physically cur the hood down to size.

No cutting was required.
But the fenders and nose had to be adjusted/pushed out and forward.
Basically wrench work,

Did that create any gap on the fender line with the door considering it was a forward push?

The nose, headlights and fender and associated space all look pretty good.
The alignment by the windshield and fender looks a little odd but only of you really look
