So I can't use my stock 15-17 cai? I might be able to find an '18 at the wreckers.

A ported is only worth 2-5hp?
prob peak but you gain area under the curve in regards to torque. Wish I had gotten a ported one.

Ah ok thanks for clarifying, I will get a ported then

Yes the stock air inlet will work , but most guys change it for a bigger one do to the tune needed for the intake . Just add a procharger and you don't have to worry about it .

Ah I suppose the procharger becomes the intake? That would save some coin

I just wrapped up my 2018 intake manifold swap with lockouts and I couldn’t be happier. I’m running gt350 intake and throttle body 47lb injectors and a tune from PBD. I’ve seen some people talk about idle issues with the 350 tb and I haven’t had any issues it actually idles better than the ford performance tune which I’m really happy about.

Just installed the 18 manifold with lockouts. Under ~3500 car is louder and a little rougher. Wondering if a anyone else experienced the same running Lund tune.

Log it and send it to Lund.

Whats your definition of "rougher"....???

Did you have a tune on the car before your mani swap? Or have you gone from stock mani / no tune ?

The car does have a different engine note with the updated manifold (mine was loud anyway due to upgraded headers). Not sure I have ever considered the engine to be rougher however.

Yeah I'd better let them look at it. It is deeper and has more rumble crusing down low, almost like a slight exhaust manifold leak. Revving in place there r vibrations until 3,000.

A few random questions. 17GT with 18 manifold currently installing a Paxton. Why does an auto car need to keep the aspirator (grey and black check valve) can I just run brake booster to vac 1, purge solenoid to vac 2, and what do my IRMCs need to function? I can T into either purge or brake booster or attach to CAI? Not sure how exactly that piece works.... PCV will go to catch can. if anyone could clear this up it would be awesome!

Cause the aspirator valve is essential for proper braking.

On the GT350 the brake booster run straight to the manifold.
Wonderful. Run it however you want then. It ain't that hard to keep an important dual purpose valve for the 15-17 GT.

It is for the automatic transmission cars. That is why the GT350 doesn't have one.

Somebody better tell Ford the put the wrong part on my MT82 car.
It is intended to help the automatic keep better brake vacuum. They installed them on all of the 15-17 regardless of transmission. This was right from a Ford engineer per Bmac on here.
