That's diff ratio. He's talking 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.

What were the ratios that you found nastang?
Actually I thought I found the post...and now I didn't. So yeah, still open. I do remember that 4th is 1:1 now and I wanted to find out what the rest of the ratios were from 1 - 3. So yes, you are correct, the trans ratios, not the diffs.

I have a fear they're bringing the ratios of the MT82 down to the Tremec's, which would be unfortunate. I like the shorter gearing with relatively high HP/low torque engines.

I'd like them to keep the short gearing.

Maybe the new longer MT82 ratios will bring steeper rear gearing back into vogue.

.

Wrong answer.

Learn to read Bro. A MT-82 isn't a rear end.
Final Drive Ratio bro. It depends on the drive ratio of your transmission, the number of teeth on the pinion gear in your differential and the number of teeth on the spur gear in your differential. He could have been talking about either.

Transmission ratios on page 130 of the pdf.

Same as current manual ratios so they may be another "not correct" facts like the PP2 wheel width in the order guide. Especially given that they conflict with other statements about the ratios. Wait and see.

The 10A ratios are consistent with both the F150 and the Camaro ZL1 10 ratios.

No, the title of the thread is MT82 Gear Ratios.

Those are the current '11-17 gear ratios.

Maybe the new longer MT82 ratios will bring steeper rear gearing back into vogue.
That would make for increased driveshaft RPM's which is a bad idea. There are enough people complaining of driveline vibrations as it is.
