18 active exhaust tips

So just picked up a 18 gt with active exhaust . Love the car . Anyways can I just cut the tips off and have new ones put on and keep the active exhaust ? Anybody have any idea I want some bigger black tips lol

Active exhaust is not in the tip, so sure, if that turns you on. Are the stock tips welded on? Just be careful there is enough left for whatever you want to add before cutting stuff off.

ya i may have a shop try it . will have to measure the opening and see how big of tips i can fit. just dont want to mess up anything with the active so as long as i stay away from that i may try it

The OD of the pipe is 2.5". Depth from exhaust tip to active exhaust valve is 7". If you cut at the weld where the red line, you should be safe.
