Exactly. That's why we have a warranty and why I've decided not to upgrade to 3.4.

I did the update on my 2016 Non-Nav this week. No issues and took roughly 10 minutes to do. I may play around with Forscan later today and see if there is anything cool in the new version.

Can someone with 3.4 do me a favor? Please post a pic of one screen with your display set to day mode. I think mine may have an issue. It looks strange. I get a black background with dark grey text and button outlines are barely visible. I didn't set one Forscan parameter back to factory before I did the update and I think this has an effect on the day mode colors.

Certainly isn't anything like mine. Here is a picture of day mode and i have also included one of night mode which like better and use all the time.

Thank you. I had a feeling my Forscan changes did affect the daytime colors. The night one is unaffected.

Has anyone that's done the 3 to 3.4 update been able to use FORSCAN to change the volume dials from square to circles on the HU? I see the code modification on the list of possible mods you can do, but I'm unsure if it applies to 3.4 as well as regular Sync 3. Anyone know?

There's this thing out there now that has pretty much stopped everything Ford is doing right now. Maybe you heard of it..........COVID-19

Seriously though, I don't get it either. I check Fordowner.com every now and then just for the fun of it. I wonder if they are going to bypass official 3.4 and go right to a basic version of 4.0

3.4 seems like a no brainer to push out, it's present in 2020s, the 2019 has the same APIM, etc.

That’s the part I don’t understand. 3.4 has been around for quite some time now. It appears to be stable. So why now release it? There is “supposed” to be a version of 4,0 that will work on our screens. I guess we just have to wait and see.

It was so bad I reverted back to Circular. Try it yourself, guaranteed you’ll hate it ;)
