Agreed, plug looks deep

Yeah I was worried as well. The oil passage doesn’t seemed to be blocked. I’m going to pull it out.Agreed, plug looks deep
Thanks for the reply. Yes I noticed a lip that the plug would stop at. I found a schematic from Ford verifying that the passenger side head feed is the only feed directly behind the plug. I can visually see down the hole and I barely see the backside of the plug. The passage is free and clear. Although it may be deeper than intended I believe I’m going to leave it.There is a "stop" there but it is really just the end of the machined area into the cast section of the main oil passage that runs all the way to the back of the engine. The plug wont block flow although the bevel of the plug is in the area of the feed to the head. I've set plugs against the stop without issues (the photo exaggerates it) but as I mentioned, there is a standard to set it to.
Should post that in a dedicated thread, that way its easy for members to find.Good info. Can you guys share any PDF's or pics of these documents?
This is good tech, you should put it in its own dedicated thread that way other members can find it easily. There are more and more people putting their own engines together, this info will be beneficial. It's actually for the rear block elements, Ill ask the gentleman if he has it for the front.
Thank you sir. Ill install the coils tomorrow to see if it starts easier, idles smoother etc. Currently running RR10s plugs gapped at .018, id like to open the gap up a touch.Man I love the attention to detail Walter, people often overlook the simple/effective upgrades!
