Just briefly looking I see 1 small and 1 big closing the squirter run. Where does that last small one go? Gen 2 block
Thinking plugs get doubled up in the front. First plug came to a positive stop fairly deep. All passages clear visually and compressed air. Still big gap to front to stake.

They are not doubled, you only use the one.
I'll try to find it, it may take a while but I remember seeing instructions on the proper depth of the plugs and guide pins

Thanks much appreciated. No big deal the first one is seated with no obstructions. The second one will fit with no problem. Just thought it was weird I received 3 plugs and only used 2 to cap the main oil galley rail

Those are to deep compared to every freeze plug I have installed and seen in any engine I have worked on. The rim of the cup should be right at the bottom of the bevel of the hole itā€™s going in. There isnā€™t necessarily a positive stop that Iā€™m aware of (Maybe Coyote blocks are different). The positive stop you experienced is most likely the bottom of the freeze plug hitting the wall or surface of the coolant/oil passage you are blocking off. That will inhibit flow through that area.
Like I said though, maybe the. Coyote blocks differ in that respect to every 4.6 and 5.4 mod motor I have ever worked on.
