Are we back in the 90’s? :) 17’s out back are the new 15’s.

I just like the way sidewalls look when you get a meaty tire, there's more room for sidewall on 15s than 17s
You know how much meat an S550 can handle on a 17” wheel right? PLENTY of giant arse Tennessee tractor tire sidewall.

I run a 15" as I wanted to run a 275 60 15 tire. I have the bear rear 15" brakes and had to grind a bit of clearance on the lower control arm. Max you can run is a 9.3" wide wheel and 6.5" back spacing. If you want to spend big money terry @beefcake racing has an AED knuckle that will allow a wider wheel. I had 17" forge star D5's with a 305 45 17 DR that worked very well. Problem for me was seeing 5 other mustangs with the same wheel. I run a 15" wheel 50% for looks and 50% function. Plus the my wheel spun inside the D5 at the track.

nothing wrong with 17's on the rear. Plenty of 'meat' :

Put me in the 15 inch camp too, the sidewall wraps up better. I don't like DR's bias ply for me.
