1528 Picked Up For Invoice

My father just purchased 1528 right off the showroom floor from Sherwood Ford in Salisbury, MD for invoice. He had a deal last fall for a LE at MSRP with a local dealer, but they backed out and ended up selling it for $10k over sticker. Needless to say patience paid off and he loves the car. I took a couple pics today at a local cars and coffee event with my GT.

That's upsetting that they put the bracket on a LE car. I don't think LE cars should even be PDI'ed till they're sold and ready to be taken for delivery. Especially if you command MSRP or ADM.

Yeah the front bracket stinks, but he is ok with it since MD requires a front plate. I run Craig's no drill bracket on mine and only put the plate on in areas I know the police have nothing better to do like Ocean City, MD. He might eventually take it off and have the holes fixed.

I have a chance to pick up a Kona Blue LE, but cannot do it since it had the front license plate drilled in. Going back and forth with another dealer on a White LE model who wants an extremely high ADM. But regardless, NICE ride your dad got!!!

What? Who would drill holes on a LE? They gotta know that there are a lot of out of state people shopping around for those...

What a dumb move... I don't think they should drill any car, but out of all of them to drill, an LE is at the bottom of the list.

Well, for those of us who have grown up in states requiring front license plates, the drilling out is not such a big deal. As I recall there are already depressions on the front ready to be drilled out for such a purpose...not a smooth, perfect finish...so, easy to fill in without anyone knowing the better, if that's a big deal. As it is, I'm loving the driving of this car so much that my yearly mileage estimate has increased from 1k to 5k or more. At the rate I'm going, this car will never be a trailer queen. Regardless, loving every minute of it....

The invoice price for an auto LE is $45253.37, for a manual, just deduct $1067.
