1383 miles and the rear end fluid is leaking. The leak is from the upper hose connection to the cooler off of the rear end housing. I need to drive 80miles to the dealer Monday. I check the fluid level it is a little low but will be OK. Kind of an SOB to get the plug out. The picture below is of a 16 MM wrench and the spot looks like that every time I park overnight.

The dealer that is close to me is a small town dealer. I know the shop Forman and some of the sales people quite well. I don't want to rub there nose in the fact that I didn't get the car from them. I also like the way I was taken care of at the new dealership. I am looking forward to the drive.

Nice picture. That is exactly what I have. I think it is the o ring on the line as the adapter has sealant on it. Also I can see from your picture that the oil is coming from line side.
Thanks

This is very concerning.
Now I have to look under my car all the time.
Wonder how common this is and will it eventually happen to all of us??

That’s a bummer to put it mildly. I guess we’ll all be checking for this now.

I found old forum from 2018 GT 350 had this problem. Then they had long lead time to get parts. I will let you know what I find out Monday.

Same, I’m below 200 miles though. Earliest dealer can get me in is Tuesday.

is the purple an o-ring and if so, what purpose does it serve being external? Is there supposed to be something in between the 2 parts that would seal over the o-ring?

Looks more like a clip to me it doesn't look to go all the way around. It looks like the hose needs to be pushed in farther for it to properly clip into place. Based on the picture at least.

Yea, that's what I was trying to figure out, as an "o-ring" didn't make sense to me, but from the angle of the image, it was hard to tell if that was a clip too. I think as you said, if the clip is released, and the hose is pushed in as far as it will go and the clip is then locked, I don't think the leak should persist.

It's worth a shot at trying to see... just spray off all of the residual fluid all over everything and dry to determine if the attempted fix works or not.

Better picture. Haven’t tried to push towards diff, too early. Will try when I wake up more.

I tried this, there’s no slack/nothing to push in. Guess I’ll just find out Tuesday.
