12 GT500's available in Metro Detroit

I am not going to buy a GT500, but I was just looking at the Ford web site for GT500's within 50 miles and found 12 of them, including a few Track Pack models. I thought these were all sold out?
Anyone looking to buy but can't find one near you?

Nobody ever said they were sold out but they can be scarce in terms of just sitting in a random dealer's showroom. All of which is encouraged via silly ridiculous ADM's, especially on those CFTP cars you perused.

After having called numerous dealers in the Detroit area on my own quest to find a CFTP at a reasonable price, I can tell you very few dealers got allocations of their own, and those that did wanted $50k over MSRP. Many have bought cars from other dealers and are reselling as well.

I have seen this over the years of other cars as well. And its very possible these are pre sold cars but still show up on the Dealers web site do to the design of Fords Dealer network. @Snoopy49 /USER] may know this answer better than most.

The websites show inventory (whether in stock or very soon to be delivered to the dealership). Them being on the website doesn't mean anything. All the GT500s on my dealers website are all spoken for. I asked to have mine removed and the answer I got is that it gets people in the door to buy other cars.

So no. I don't think it is accurate to say that 12 GT500s are available. Until you call each of those dealerships, you won't know.
