If the total Mach 1 production is close to the total Shelby production, about 7800 2020 GT350/500 combined, then a 2-3 per dealer allocation of Mach 1s for 2021 with might be correct if there are about 8000 Mach 1s produced. The last figure I could find, 2017, said there were over 3,000 Ford dealers in the country.
I’m guessing Mach 1 production will most likely be the same as GT350 alone

That was only about 6100 for 2016, 7100 for 2017, 4300 for 2018, 2800 for 2019, and 2800 for 2020 for GT350 and GT350R combined. The 7800 for 2020 was 5000 GT500 and 2800 GT350/350R combined. We better hope there are more Mach 1s built. I would say 8000 2021 Mach 1s would be a fair estimate since that is about how many 2019 Bullitts were built.

i suspect your guess of 8000 is probably right. hopefully we dont have a virus shutdown again that gets in the way of production. best bet is to get in contact with dealers asap and get one lined up. i ended up talking to 30+ dealers including going out of state to secure my position. part of that is the ford dealers in my area are terrible. most still have no idea a mach 1 is coming and the dealers that have at least heard of it want msrp or more in some cases.
earlier you mentioned an msrp of $57k.......i have a feeling a loaded car is going to be pushing $60k. with no bullitt and no gt350 why not? its not like mach 1 buyers are cross shopping gt500's. the retirement of the 350 alone adds a couple thousand on to the msrp. if i remember correctly a bullitt with magneride, electronics package and recaros was just under $55k. i think that alone puts the mach at $57k easy, and with no gt350 ahead of it ford can add a little on top. i hope i'm wrong but a loaded mach 1 with recaros is going to msrp for $60k

It's just hard to swallow how the price are climbing. I bought my first house for $60k. I know people will say, "It's not 1980 anymore grandpa." I'm only 46 and I bought that 2/2 brick house that was built in 1996 for $60k in 2000 in a college town. I sold it to my best friend in 2008 for $72k and he sold it a few months ago for $152k. I know I will have to pay $60k soon to get the car/truck/SUV that I want because everything that I Build and Price is $55-65k when I get all the options I want. I'm not the guy who is going to buy a 300A with no options at all. My car is a 401A with Performance Package, Recaros, Adaptive Cruise Control, Voice Activated Navigation, Reverse Park Assist, Enhanced Security... so it stickered for $46.5K in 2015. I just used the Build and Price for the same options and it is $52.5k in 2020. That's a 13% price increase in five years for the technology changes between the 2015-17 and 2018-2020 S550 generations.

I hear ya brazos. My house was only 49k in 1998. I just recently decided to try and sell it and get a more economical house for a single person with a garage. The realtor thinks I can get 60-65k for it, but I really doubt it. The whole inside and most of the outside needs painted and it could use new floor coverings. I don't want to put a bunch of money into it though, just the bare minimum to hopefully get mid-50's to give me 20k or so to put down on a newer place. The lower interest rates are appealing. I really wanted a new 20 SP before winter with the PD rebate too, but that doesn't look likely at this point as the realtor won't list my house until I at least get the inside painted and all the contractor keep backing out, want too much money or are just too busy. It is just weird that I'm considering a car that cost more than my house though.

A very good friend of mine owns an automotive dealership group, five dealerships with seven brands, and the latest acquisition this summer was a very small Ford dealership in a very small town of 3400 people. They have very little inventory with only 27 new vehicles and 19 used vehicles in stock, not even one Mustang. I have been talking to the GM and he said he will send me the Order Guide as soon as he gets it. I've told him that I'm very interested in replacing my 2015 GT with a Mach 1 but I haven't committed to it. I think I'm probably the only person who has asked about the Mach 1.

I'm excited for this. I would love a Mach 1 for all the track-ready goodies but I'm afraid the price will be too much. I can add coolers to my GT for a lot less. Though that Tremec would be nice.
I'm just happy Ford finally made a true competitor to the 1LE. The PP2 isn't really track ready and the 350 was in a different price point.
Yes, pricing and what is in the handling pack are my big questions. I am afraid the Mach 1 with all the good stuff is going to be ~GT350 price, especially the first year or so with ADM.

I suspect the 1LE will be the cheaper track car, too bad the 2019 & 2020 restyles made it uglier compared to the 2016-2018 car.

It will be interesting to see the pricing on a cloth seat Mach 1, as well as a fully loaded up version.

Can’t wait for the order guide. Curious on pricing. Might wait until 2022 for prices to settle a bit and maybe some new color options (grabber blue or grabber green would be awesome additions lol)

We still have no indications that there even WILL be a cloth interior model

Also, Ford hasn’t made any official statements on pricing. People have speculated high-$40k to low-$50k range, but nothing is confirmed

the recaros will be available in cloth, not sure about the standard seats. i doubt cloth will be available on those

no way the price of this car starts with a 4......if it does i'm buying one in FJG this year and a grabber blue the following year if they offer it lol. this looks like a $60k car with all the options.

Jim Owens from Ford stated in one of the Mach 1 videos that the car will be available with a cloth interior.

Anyone have a source to this confirmation?

Of course, Jim Owens tends to have a track record of making unsubstantiated claims, so I wouldn’t put much weight in something he says.

I think it’s highly likely that it starts around $49k. I mean, when you think about it, the base car really doesn’t offer THAT much more than a Bullitt, ESPECIALLY if it offers cloth interior

My guess is a fully loaded HP and AP car won’t reach $60k

regarding the seats, the only source i have is a ford document that i was given a copy of by a dealer i'm working with that outlines the mach 1 features. it is not an order guide but it gives a pretty good idea of what to expect. for the interior it mentions 6 way power driver seat and 4 way power passenger seat standard. available recaros in cloth or leather trim. doesn't mention anything about the standard seat material. but since the bullitt didn't have cloth and this car is kind of a replacement i assume it won't have cloth seats either. seems like thats too many options for ford to offer. there's going to be leather, leather with orange stripe (appearance package), cloth recaros, and leather recaros. i don't see a cloth option on top of that. certainly not with the appearance package.

don't get me wrong, i hope you are spot on with the price. but its not realistic. the price goes up every year. this car is a bullitt with even more features. its not going to start at the same price the bullitt did. and its not competing against the bullitt. nor does it have to compete with the shelby because it is also gone. it can be anywhere in between those two. i'm guessing base model somewhere around $54k-$55k and a car with HP/AP and recaros to be $58k-$60k
