Can anybody see a difference between the magnetic gray and carbonized gray for 2021? Kind of looks like an identical color to me with a new name..

Maybe the carbonized gray is a little lighter which is what I'm wondering or if it's the same actual paint color.

My old 17 magnetic and my 21 carbon... I'm thinking they just gave it a new name.

CG is closer to a straight up gray, MG has more flip flop to the flake and is a little more dynamic.

I've owned 3 magnetic gray fords and now a carbonized mustang, they are definitely different. I prefer carbonized gray more.

I got to try and see these in person, your photo makes the magnetic look really really dark and I don't remember my 17' car being that dark...

Different photo of my 17 magnetic , looks pretty dark here, looks like they are darker than I certainly remember.

My 17 was Magnetic and now I have 21 Carbonized. I like both.

Magnetic was a little darker - but had larger metal flakes.
Carbonized is a little lighter - Its flakes are a lot smaller.

If they changed the paint to be right in-between both - I think that would be the best. The lightness of Carbon but the larger flakes of Magnetic.

I also think the clearcoat appeared to be "thicker" on my Magnetic car giving it more of a glass layer on top look.
