Trending the same as last year.

Sad....thought we'd see more units this year, due to pent-up demand.

I thought the same as well but I think we are quickly reaching a point in the world where so much blood is being squeezed from the stone with current infrastructure that they (irrespective of industry) have maxed out capacity and production.

No new plants = we've maxed it out boss.

If you are referring to sales? No accounting for good taste but many people weren't working for the last 2 years and so buying a $70,000 CAD car isn't in their cards.

There's massive supply-chain issues. Which are really labor issues at suppliers, it's a ripple effect. People don't want to work, they collected tons of tax-payer dollars for 2 years, and they're not interested in working anymore. That's what happens when you pay people not to work.

As far as sales, the prices are indeed too high right now to support growing sales.

in two quarters used car dealers with tons of stock are gonna get murderized. demand has waned, supply is catching up, and interest rates are about to jump.

So if reading that, there's like roughly 3.2k S550's unsold sitting somewhere as of the printing of that article....

When Ford reports sales in a statement like this, are they reporting their sales to dealers or sales to end consumers?

These reports of sales volume reflects transactions with retail and fleet customers (as reported by dealers), government and Ford management.

demand has nothing to do with unable to sell 5000 units - probably some of them incomplete waiting on modules. The Mustang is done and over. All that's left is the crying.

Plus whatever was already on the lots. That means they should be up to a 30 day supply of Mustangs on the lots.

You're 110% correct, I shouldn't have used "demand".

I wouldn't be surprised if the S650 is cancelled. Just squashed.
