recirculating

Someone mentioned disconnecting the recirculating tube will make the turbot sound louder. I know the GT has the sound tube equivalent. Anyone done this on their ecoboost? If so, would this have a negative effect on the engine?

Someone mentioned disconnecting the recirculating tube will make the exhaust sound louder. I know the GT has the sound tube equivalent. Anyone done this on their ecoboost? If so, what steps were required to do it?
