The 2015 Ford Mustang has already made its European debut in December, when the new pony was unveiled on five different continents, but the redesigned vehicle is now crossing the Pond again for the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.

With the event just around the corner - press days will commence later today - the vehicles that will be displayed for nearly two weeks are already in place, having arrived in Geneva over the past days. Among them there’s an Ingot Silver-painted Mustang convertible, which was filmed as it was rolling inside the showroom, but expect to see fastback versions of the 2015 Mustang in Geneva as well.

btw: if you watch the vid very carefully, you will notice a Piece of the doorhandle (driverside) is missing...

That's definitely not Ingot Silver in those pictures it links to.

It would be nice if they would show a few different colors (and exterior/interior color combinations) in Geneva than the ones we have seen many times over.

Hmmm. I've been doing a Google search every day for the past two weeks for "Geneva Auto show 2015 Mustang" and this morning is the first time I've had this story appear in the results.

There are just a few hand-built prototypes. This is why we keep seeing the same cars over and over again at different locations. FoMoCo must be spending a ton of cash shipping them from one location to another.

I thought we would be seeing the first line-built prototypes by now, but the production line is obviously not at a stage of completion to facilitate that yet.

I should follow the threads here more closely, but there's only so many hours in the day, and I have other things to do besides read about my #1 obsession, the S550. :hail:

Dang car got to me.

One of the members of Mustang Owners Club UK posted this the other day:

"Today I came within a gnats breath of seeing the new Mustang.

I was invited to a very uninspiring location just of the A12 to view the new Ford Mondeo, I was then shown the handbuilt post production cars (both the hatch back and the estate) and very nice they are too.
But the premises I visited are used by Ford to store and transport new and current models between shows etc.......... As I arrived a lorry was leaving and the driver off to Valencia, it was only when I got inside that I was told that there were no embargoed vehicles on site as the New mustang had just left for Valencia !

I am trying to arrange a revisit when it returns"

Now, not sure why it'd be going to Valencia........it is a port, but if it was on a truck, it'd make sense to transport it direct to Geneva.......unless there's another show it's headed to, too.

Most importantly, I'd told him he MUST invite me should he get a chance to see the Mustang when it comes back :D

Ford Mustang rolls into Geneva with glow

GENEVA -- If you couldn't tell by the two 1965 Mustang convertibles and the display of diecast Mustang models outside Ford's press reception on the eve of the Geneva auto show press days …

Or the Mustang keychains Ford's guests received …

And if the bold yellow 2015 Mustang GT prototype sitting in the middle of the party didn't clue you in…

Ford executives were glad to make it clear: Geneva is the beachhead for the push to win European consumers over with the original pony car.

I'll see what I can find out.

But usually the representatives at these shows know less about the cars than we do :headbonk:
