Has anyone on this forum installed an RST in their Ecoboost?
I'm trying to install a Mcleod RST clutch.
I am having nothing but problems. Nothing fits as advertised.
The alignment tool sent with the kit doesn't fit the pilot bearing. The factory flywheel bolts are nearly an inch too long, Mcleod says the stock bolts should fit perfectly. The ring gear engages the starter gear at rest.
Mcleod says there is nothing wrong with the clutch they sent me. I don't want to put the stock clutch back in as it has 35,000 miles on it. Worse yet, the factory flywheel is on backorder until May and the car is on jack stands in my brothers garage.
My current thought is that I have a very early build (Oct 2014) and I just have a very weird configuration.
Any information from your experience installing an RST would be appreciated.
