(Just to be clear not talking about wheels covers but the actual hub cap) has anyone seen the picture with an LE and redline wheels with red caps like the ones on the '65? They look so good on Wimbledon white!!

Looks amazing with such a small change. I wish I had the skills to do it myself! Thanks Husker! :cheers:
It's easy...

Remove the caps from the wheel

Remove the Horses from the caps

Clean the caps & Wrap masking/painters tape around clamps

Spray with Rust-Oleum High Performance Enamel Safety Red-7564 (4 Light Coats & 1 Heavy)

Reinstall Horses on caps

Any slick method of pulling the centers out without removing the wheel from the car???

I'm thinking of ordering a set of "replacements" from Ford and attempting this.

I had my wheels off the car when I removed em...Someone removed em while still on the car though...maybe have to search to find out how he did it...I think a small screwdriver + being very careful-->:shrug:

Good-Luck-->:thumbsup:

I wouldn't attempt it. So much less chance to damage just taking wheels off.

I think I may steal your idea and do this. A little throwback.

Except wonder how they would look in ford blue?

I'm with ya, Wouldn't wanna ruin the wheels.

Cut two circles of Red glossy paper the size of the caps, tape em on one side of the car. Get back from it, take pictures of both sides for viewing it over a few days to be sure of the look...IMO, it will look great. I remember how great Blue Corvette's looked with Red-Line Tires & Red center caps.

Your not Stealing my Throwback idea. I got it from one of my past rides a "1965 Ford Falcon Sprint - Wimbledon White". Notice the For Show - Stock Factory wheels/tires and my cruising wheel/tire setup both had Red Centers. I've considered adding a Red stripe to the LE because it goes so well with Wimbledon White, But-->:shrug:
