hey anything you can add to Victorley's info? figured mirror turned on pivot toward window...then?I'm glad someone did the show and tell how to do this. I finally figured it out a couple weeks ago when I installed Ingot Silver mirror covers on my Guard convertible.![]()
back at last...first great you posted this info. to be clear, pulling from the wSorry I took so long.. Ok so you will pull from the side closest to the window until you can't anymore.. Then pull from the bottom part up and go back to pulling from the window until it comes off.. I just took mine off to take this pictures in less than 2 minutes.. There is only 2 hooks in the middle![]()

thanks...so did you have mirror turned to face the window then pry the edge? Victorley makes it look simple...yeah, the fear factor. tried removing and seemed difficult. how was it to remount and did you paint or buy a set of take-offs? saw a lightning blue with magnetic grey accents...liked it but probably stay with black. rear spoiler, hood vents...and mirrors if I get them off!Well I did find a plastic pry bar where the cover meets the mirror frame was helpful in getting the covers to pop but, after the initial release it is a matter of rotating toward the window and up. Just go easy with the pry bar and it will pop off. Hope this helps. Just overcome the fear of breaking something. The curved tabs are not essential to the covers holding on (broke a couple and no problem.)
