Since day 1 my gt has had this offbeat light ticking at idle that goes away at any rpm. Sound is coming from the transmission pan and it also whines very quietly before shifting you can't hear the ticking unless you're outside the car or next to a building and the whine is always somewhat audible. Transmission behaves fine afaik. I've heard similar complaints from zl1 and f150 owners wanted to check if anyone can give any feedback.

I cannot say anything about the ticking sound. I believe due to the engine being DI, the injectors make the ticking sound and not the transmission even though it may seem so. But I could be wrong about that. I have the A10 in the GT and yes, there is a whine when the car shifts between 1400 to 2000 rpm from 1-3-5 and goes away in higher gears or I am not able to hear it anymore due to other sounds taking over.

The ticking isn't consistent sometimes it skips a beat or two. Does yours do the same?

No, I do not hear any ticking. I will pay close attention to it today when I get in the car. The transmission whine is there however and that goes in and out randomly too.

Update. I started the car this morning and after the car warmed up I stood outside and listened for the ticking sound. I did hear it and this was while the car was in park. So it seems this is normal?? Ford quirks perhaps :ford:

If you get on it that 10 makes all kinds of whine - but its acting as it should...

Yea that's what I was thinking. I spoke to someone with an a10 zl1 that does the exact same thing. It's minorly annoying but if it's all working fine i could care less

Right! I guess as long as its functioning properly there is nothing to worry about. We have 5 years or 60K miles to test this A10:D
