Well, bought the ole mantic from Lethal not too long ago and I plan on doing the install within the next few days. The last clutch I did was a cable clutch on a foxbody mustang. I haven't messed with a hydraulic one yet.
I'll be doing the job on my back in my garage and was just curious if anyone had any tips they'd like to share for the process. It seems pretty straight forward.
I did notice mantic did not include the torque specs for the flywheel, just said torque to factory specs.
If anyone has the torque specs for the driveshaft and tranny bolts that'd be cool.
I'll try and take pictures as I go along, it seems like a solid clutch for sure and the case it comes in is pretty badass.

Looks to be two more bolts that mount the tranny to the engine at the 1130 and 1230 positions, anyone have any tips to remove them? Thinking i could probably drop the cross member, but I'm running kenne bells motor mounts. a bit more solid so I don't know if there'd be much flex to them at all.

Couple Long extension with a swivel running at the back or the side of the trans. Passenger side bolt it tougher to get to than the driver side

Love looking at those pieces of modern art.
Thanks for the business. Enjoy it!
Let me know if you need any help (as I see other forum members posted answers to your questions).

Yeah, that's what I was thinking... I'll end up pulling it in an hour or two. Let the garage warm up a bit.
Ty, do you happen to have the torques on the driveshaft as well?

Driveshaft torque specs:

80 lbs. ft to transmission
41 lbs. ft to pinion flange
35 lbs. ft center bearing to body

Bell housing bolts are 35 lbs. ft.

Looking forward to your pics.....Mantic will be my clutch as well.

Definitely got too carried away with the actual work I forgot to take pictures.
I did nab one of the beauty installed though
Overall the install really isn't that bad. First time doing a hydraulic clutch, and it's really not bad.
Still need to clean up the garage now, but I took her out for a quick spin after I bled the clutch.
First thing I noticed was how light the pedal is now. Engagement is super smooth, you can slip the clutch without issue for sure. I tried letting the rpms dip a little trying to see if I could make it shudder and I couldn't.
Very very hard to believe that this clutch has the torque rating it does with how smoothly everything is.
Now for the boring break in procedure, 500 miles or 1000 clutch engagements.
Thank you guys for those that shared what information you had.

I just remembered I was supposed to do a crank relearn. I didn't have any codes or anything driving around, car ran smooth too. It required?

If your cel isn’t on than probably not. It is pretty standard practice to do a crank relearn after a clutch change.

What's that about and how is it done? Is this about vibration from a different pressure plate?

Wondering if I should do one just because. Can anyone chime in on this to verify?

Man my pinion flange bolts took way more than 41 lbft to come off! haha.
