Method to darken tailights

How do you suppose this one was done...owner wasn't around at the time, I messaged the dealer trying to find out if its a dealer "option"...It's not a black appearance package as it has chrome Mustangs front/rear. Looks like window film to me...?

I used AM's light tint. Pre-cut and very good material, easy to apply.

Tint likely.

And check your state laws before doing anything as if you get rear ended and your state has no taillight tint or seen from x feet away, that driver is going to say didnt see your dim taillights in violation of state law. Repairs may be on you!

Here its 1000 feet and I took mine off the window tint shop did when I got the car. No idea what % film it was either. Too much risk to get sued in an accident scenario, even when it wasn't your fault at all and get rear ended, and too many personal assets to risk/lose.
