FLICKR ISSUE

Why am I getting that error message when I am uploading from FLICKR?

Its even giving me it on pics I have uploaded before...

Not sure what you mean by upload from Flickr?

There's two ways of getting your image onto the forum. You can use the "

" code (the yellow picture icon) to hotlink the image's URL, or you can upload the image directly from your computer.

I tested both methods with your image and it worked. Let me know if you have any further issues.

Ok, good I will try again tomorrow. It may have been an issue with the intranet at the office. Thank you! And when I say upload I just mean entering the code.

Ok, so I tested it on my mobile and I am getting the same error message... I attached this screen shot as a file from my desktop, but of course, that limits my resolution. Thank you for any help you can provide...

Brandon,

To resolve the issue you will need to stop using the "Upload File from a URL" and either:

1) save the Flickr image to your computer and upload it directly to your post using "Upload Files from your Computer"

OR

2) Hotlink the image using this icon:

Once you click on that, paste the Image URL of the Flickr photo (in your case that would be: https://c7.staticflickr.com/9/8175/29667270086_ae73a3b7a6_o.jpg)

After you enter that URL and click OK, the image will show up in your post.

Let me know if any further issues.

it's because you're hotlinking to a location (https://www.flickr.com/gp/27625857@N07/AcQY77) not the file itself..

here's how i'd do it:

inspected the html on this page, browsed to the location, drilled into the large 1024 size page (https://www.flickr.com/photos/27625857@N07/35569186854/sizes/l) then selected the source file (https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4423/35569186854_1080e15c7f_b.jpg) and wrapped [noparse]

[/noparse] tages around it. almost as easy as shotgunning a beer :cheers: ;) :lol:
