Anyone with Tomtop unit willing to take the risk?

So I've been thinking since the Sintegrate unit and Tomtop unit both use Wince, we can maybe change the software of Tomtop unit.

I have the Sintegrate unit software and the steps to upgrade, so if anyone wants to try it out on their Tomtop unit plz lemme know. This either might corrupt the unit software OR you end up with the Sintegrate software!

I will try it. I know the wiring on the sitegrate is a bit different though but im still willing to try.

Did this ever work?

Id like to know as well. Ill try it if you have a 100% sure way to go back to working if it flops

Unfortunately that didn't work, the hardware is different between the two

Can you list the issues that you're having?
I'm looking at the "Phone connected" now and I think that can be changed.

One connected in corner, temp display is off by a few degrees in f, pause button still in chinese.

Pause button on which page/section?

The sync screen is the only one ive noticed

Screen settings don't hold, audio settings change sometimes and Im sure theres other things kinda like all 3 different head units.

Edit: Also would be nice to use the extra USB cord like the Modd and Raxiom model to listen to music and have the artwork... don't know why that doesnt work.

Mine doesn't hold date settings. The time is correct but the day is off. Also there are some spelling mistakes.

I'm still willing to pay a bounty.

So when you say access to file system are you actually able to edit files, or are you hex editing them

When using the video function with the extra USB, the video plays fine. But the audio is weird, will only get a few of the sounds. Plays only AVI files by the looks of things, but I understand that would be something direct on the code, not just a simple bug.

The display options won't save, you have to change it everytime (ex: you change the contrast to a number, when you start the car again it goes back to the default setting).

Also, could provide me with those files? Maybe I can tweak a little something too, I'm on my early years of programming in college, but meh, wouldn't hurt to give it a try lol.
