So back to a subject I don't think got answered. I read the whole thread and there is a shit ton of great info in here.

Those that took out the OEM DSP/Amp. Did you lose the over the sound system announcements? If so how did you fix?

And another question. Where is the OEM subwoofer in the Shaker system getting its crossover and DSP from? Are the RCA level wires leaving from the back of the head unit and going straight back to the trunk to be processed by the amp in the back?

The reason I ask is I need all four outputs of my TwK for the front stage. I can crossover the subs with the amp and level set as well with the amp.

Thanks to whomever answers.

No. You get Front Left, Front Right, Rear Left and Rear Right out of the head unit to the amp in the driver's kick panel. That amp then manufactures the signal to send to the sub amp in the trunk.

No Sub output from the amp.

And another question looking at that.

The component tweeter in the door and the pillar tweeter are wired together? So there are two leads going to the 6.5 component in the lower part of the door? One for the tweeter?

Thanks!

I remember seeing that in the thread (the connectors that is) but could not find it again.

So in this one I see the Sub out. However there are 4.

Pin 1 and 2 are the audio and pin 9 is the enable. Pin 3 is a 4 gauge wire? That cannot be right.
I don't know about that. We bypassed both amps when I put in my 5 ch amp. We just took the 4 line level signals to the amp. Point being that there is no dedicated sub out from the HU.

The TwK-88 has 8 channels out. You need all 8 channels for your front stage?

That looks like misleading labeling. There should be a dedicated channel going to each 6.5" in the lower doors. That's 2 channels from the amp.

There are 2 channels that feed the 3.5" mid in the upper door and the tweeter in the A pillars. That line is split (I believe) before the wire goes into the door.

4 L&R outputs.

Pillar tweets L&R
Door 3.5s L&R
Door 6.5s L&R
Center channel output

So yes the entire front stage will be used by the TwK88

The Fix 86 will just have the front full range inputs with Sub out put going to the 1000/1 and the front full range inputting the 4 L&R inputs for the TwK88.
