I spoke with a rep. at Ford Performance and he told me that my car was in fact the fourth 2018 off the line , and possibly the first Shadow Black Of 2018 . But , actual stats and numbers don’t come out until the end of the model year run.
In one way , it’s a cool factoid . I also thought the quality control might be more stringent during the early cars , for calibration of production ? Just a thought. Also , it was built on a Wednesday . But I will say this . The body panels on my J0004 have GREAT fitmemt and uniformity . I’ve only had the car for two weeks , so not much else to report . Chicagoland weather sucks now .

Congrats to the new owner of J0004!
That’s cool ! Many of the 2017’s I looked at had scratches , scuffs , misaligned panels . One of them even had a hood that was rubbing on both front fenders , creating gouges at the points where they met . Ridiculous !
