i bet he's going to have to blend the fenders

it's why i'm a nervous wreck thinking about getting a hood... i know i'm going to have to touch perfectly good fenders

I don't believe he's had the fenders and bumper blended. They more then likely took the short cut route and painted it separately

Looks pretty damn good! Would be a nice deposit in a Whipple though with the hood and fascia costs ;)

pssh a whipple would be about 5k+more lol... i've pretty much come down to reality on a whipple anyways...giant waste of money when I don't race :p ... unless a car came with one like an rs3. it's last on the list that's for sure.

This hood was panel painted and not blended into the bumper or fenders.

Same picture in black and white.

To be done correctly it needs to be blended into the adjacent panels.
And painted while it's on the car. You can see the mismatch at the bumper and fenders.

That's a pretty sweet looking hood! I like the heat extractors on this one way better than the others that I have seen.

Interested in seeing how much prep was required for paint and if there are any issues swapping over hardware from OEM hood.

Nice choice!!

Very nice hood.

I know it's off-topic, but those headlamps

I agree, that hood is gorgeous, but those wheels really look nice and compliment the grey paint. A great combination.

So this hood has two real side heat extractor and one Ram Air in center. Nothing fake, right?

If all the vents are functional, this is a great addition to F/I kits. Keep engine bay cool. Another advantage is that, after you shut down the engine, the heat is longer trapped in the engine bay.

I don't notice the paint difference.
Seriously? I guess I have a trained eye. It has more blue in the hood then the fenders or bumper.

Everybody is looking at it on a different monitor or device so it won't look the same for everyon looking at paint on the Internet

It doesn't matter what your color resolution is. Off is off. When it's a mismatch the monitor still will show it. Some people can't see it even in person.
