I got some left over backing from wheel weights on my wheels from when I went with bigger tires on front and from a screw that came out of one of my rear's yesterday. the tire had to be fixed from inside, remounted, and balanced.

I still got to get the sticky part off the barrel of the wheels. What can i use that's safe to get this crap off that won't harm the satin black finish or scratch crap out of it on my velgen wheels?

and yeah theres sand. it's been raining for a week here and now 12" more of rain is coming within next 48hrs plus a hurricane so yeah it's filthy lol.

just dont leave wd40 sitting on your wheel, this would be considered a "Harsh Chemical" and can damage the finish of the wheel if over sprays to the face. ( better safe then sorry)

googone is good :clap2:
yup I usually will heat up the crap left behind with my wifes hair dryer and apply the googone, let it sit for awhile and then use a finger nail to get it off.. or something soft and plastic to not scrape the paint on the wheel.

i figured googone would be good to use but just didn't know if it would effect the finish

never had any issues with it...id imagine the only time someone would mess up the finish is with what tool they use to scrape it off.

You can actually heat the stuff with the hair dryer or heat gun and immediately scrap it of with a plastic scraper or finger nail... the heat goos it up nice for removal, but by all means windex or googone any residue

I say goo gone in the aerosol form (pro formula or something) better than the yellow squirt bottle one IMO, works wonders, just thoroughly clean after with soap and water

Hey no some ones have mentioned good old made in the U.S. Elbow Grease hah ..

Here is a Trick ............
Get yourself a damp cloth and rub it into some dirt . Yeah dirt . Nice and muddy . Then proceed to polish that stuff off with a little Elbow grease .. Wallah nice and clean .. no unwanted ill affects from a little known abrasive like dirt ,...................
