Option of auto Rev matching yes.
No lift shift, don't see how this differs much to an auto, so wouldn't want this. Lessens the interaction and would create the acceleration drone you get with autos.[/QUOTE

Another one who has no idea how it works.

Get rid of synchro's and double-clutch every shift while you're at it.

How manual do you need?

If I'm pushing in the clutch and moving the shift lever then letting the clutch back out, letting the CPU do a little throttle blip is hardly "most of the work". Rev match downshift is a common feature in a lot of sports cars, including category competitors (Camaro) and pretty ubiquitous at the next tier. If you really love heel-toeing that much you can turn it off.

I would rather have rev-matching than no-lift-shift, but if you have done one implementing the other would seem trivial.
Hey Kids :) Back in the day shifting without lifting was something drag racers did. They depressed the clutch enough for the the gear lever to HOPEFULLY select the next gear while they kept the gas pedal to the floor. If something went wrong engines broke. If it worked properly the trans and drive train were frequent casualties.

Tons of high end real road race cars, including Formula 1 and Indy cars, use paddle shifting manual transmissions and the cpu deals with clutch and shift related throttle control and rev matching. Meanwhile the "lazy" driver is dealing with all sorts of between corners handling adjustments while cornering at several g's. Previously and even now in lower formulas most formula and sports racer cars used dog ring gear boxes where the clutch was depressed only for starts/stops and the driver just lifted slightly to free the dogs so the gears would slide.

According to one tester the shift without lift feature only works at full throttle.

^^^ I see Ford still hasn't fixed the rear window from sitting lower on the top left side than the top right side. Hood fits crappy near the RH headlight too. Come on Ford, this stuffs been going on for 4 years now.

Yeah, really a shame what Ford sells us as quality control. Remember that the GT PP with a few extras is a $50k car

Good. So we won't have to revisit the debate about Eco vs 5.0 part throttle racing and how no-lift shifting effects it.

Hmm. They are pre-production prototypes, which would actually make me think panel fit would be better (?). Pretty hard to defend based on the price. But to be fair, it's 2017 not 1977. The expectation is that panels fit...period. From a $15K econobox to an $80K luxury sedan. They should always just fit.

MMmm, kona master race. It looks great with black wheels, I am going to have to ditch the premium wheels in favor for something nicer pretty soon after getting the car.

What is this acceleration drone you are talking about ? And why would a no lift shift MT have this ?

As explained before, no lift shift is full throttle only. (Only if you want)
All other shifting is done normally,

Go to YouTube and search for no lift shift camaro.

It shows you have a focus st. if you do almost every tune out has what we call FFS or flat foot shifting.. its the same thing as no lift shift. instead of the RPMs dropping it hovers around there making for a faster time as the engine doesnt have to drop rpm then pick it back up. If you are not tuned yet... what are you waiting for and if you are try out a quick shift then try out the ffs.. it makes a difference for sure as far as accelerating
