We do know they didn't put a better one in the GT350 so...
I haven't seen that. Is there a side-by-side comparison between the Voodoo and Coyote OPG's?

Enginelabs article said it was new crank? We know the only leftover part from the gen 2 coyote is the crankshaft. From that you may infer the oil pump and gear are new. Better? Who knows.
The new viscous damper should alleviate OPG and TG shock loading; however, they are so cheap and easy to upgradd now I doubt that Ford would burn the added cost for the 99% of 2018s that wont see FI.Enabled by new crankshaft and rod bearings, as well as a viscous crank damper, this Coyote revs 500 rpm higher than the Gen 2 to 7,500 rpm.

We have had a few in my area, good friend has worked at Ford for 30 years top mechanic. I stopped to visit with him the pic is a stock 5.0 no tune N/A. OPG broke and he has done several at least Ford replaced them with a new engine under warrantyIt's not failing in stock form on the Coyote, I hardly doubt they gonna change anything.
considering the 2018 pump is about 1/2 the price of the 15-17 I would not hope for much improvement.2015 P/N=BR3Z*6600*A
2018 P/N=JR3Z*6600*A
New P/N means that SOMETHING changed...could be all new and improved, could be a different manufacturer producing it for Ford, could be none of the above, in which case, who knows, new P/N for the sake of it, I've seen stranger things out of Ford...But I'd say it probably is, indeed, new and improved, given all of the other advances in the Coyote even from gen 1 to gen 2.
not according to this guy lolOnly OPG I ever seen break on a genII is when you bounce off the limiter like a tard.
Prolly the same guy on facebook bouncing the limiter for a minute straight, posted the vid on FB, then wonder why when his engine went pop the dealer denied warranty cause he.. and get this.. showed them the vid of when it went boom as proof :hail:not according to this guy lol

When Lund retuned my car after the GT350 manifold swap they upped the automatic WOT to shift at 7750. They advised me don't bounce off the limiter and I will be good.Only OPG I ever seen break on a genII is when you bounce off the limiter like a tard.
Yo, fellow NJ guy. How are you running E85? I would love to, but I didn't think we had any E85 in NJAll I know is when I had no rev limit set I hit 8500 rpm occasionally and 8200 regularly at the drag strip. Car runs great.
