You're lucky.. I've heard up to $35k in ADM here in SoCal and Nevada. Looks like I'll be fanning out my search another couple hundred miles tomorrow. :headbang:
NorCal can beat that. The Future Ford chain (Roseville, Sacamento, Fresno (?)) will probably list their "R"s at $99,999 to $125,000 hoping to sucker some high paid Intel fool into buying it... Normal GT350s will be in the $75,000 to $95,00 range. If they get a 15' expect it in the $150,000 - $200,000 range. $250,000 if an 2015 R.

Wanna buy a 2000 Cobra R...I think they still have one. Sat on display in Roseville for years before it went off to a storage warehouse. They sent insane prices on very limited edition cars and you either pay it or they store it (forever if necessary). There attitude is you will break before they do- massively rich family doesn't need the money, selling or keeping a very unique car doesn't alter their bottom line 1 bit.

I know 2 guys who eventually got good prices from them, I stress eventually...2002/3ish Roush 360 (stripped Stage 3) and a 2008 GT500. Future Ford "broke" on those cars as they were not truly limited- Roush invents unique editions every other week and GT500 got better after 2008 (more HP)...but in both deals where Future threw in the towel on pricing those NEW cars were 2-3 yrs old at the time of sale. ie my buddy bought the new "08" GT500 in late 2010 as the 11s were arriving....

a handful of folks might score a 2016 GT350 R on a deal...probably in Georgia or Texas (they seem to get high allocations in those states) but in California....maybe at the end of yr two (2017 model) you might get close to MSRP on a GT350R in California.

Problem for me...I ain't in my 20s, 30s, 40s...so I have more money then I have time so to speak... thus I an't waiting (but ain't paying Future Ford kind of money either). I like and encourage the NO ADM approach..but I want this car....and I want it now....

I happen to know....there are a couple of car manufacturers working with market research and innovations consulting firms right now to ...

1. Determine if the market is ready for a change in the dealership model
2. Research the best way to implement direct buy models and either defeat, overturn or circumvent existing laws against buying direct.
3. The move would be backed and supported by the FTC.

Hmmmm....
Remember that change I said would be coming.

It's just starting to get traction again with a few manufacturers pushing it.

So we'll likely be saying sayonara to the current haggling model in the certain future.

Just saying.

;-)

I hear you David, we ain't getten any younger....I have a deposit on a GT350 at MSRP, but I also have a buddy at another ford place that will only charge a 5K ADM if you are interested in one of theirs, I will do the introduction. Its not MRSP, but its better than what you will get in CA..(sounds like anyway..)

If the dealer is asking for it and I decide to pay ADM I'll drive away happy in my new car.

No problem.

So, it's May 1st. Did anyone come up with the base price of the 2015 GT350 yet? Surely, somebody in the know could help us out with info......

Is your dealer going to be able to order a 15 GT350? Has your dealer been told the allocation strategy for the 15? When does 15 production end? I would not be a surprised if the 15 GT350 is built on the same line as the 16 mustangs. I think the GT350 production is still over 2 months out.

Been real busy and haven't been able to check the site for a while. I got a call from my dealership about this '15 extremely limited model. Other than a possible plaque (like the 50th LE) does anybody know if there is anything of significance that separates the '15 from the '16 model?

Ford just told me a couple days ago that I'll get just two 16/17 GT350's. When I asked about the 15 GT350, I was told that the allocation wasn't settled yet, but that I probably wouldn't get one since I'm in the NW. Most will go to southern dealers.

15 Mustang production ends July 31st and 16 Mustang production starts August 3rd. I'd wager that the 15 GT350's get built very late in July just before the changeover to 16 production, so I believe you are correct that we're two months away from any GT350's being built.

Should all dealerships know their allocations now then? What about allocations for Rs?

I believe all dealers should know (or be able to find out) their 16/17 GT350 allocations by now. I got the news directly from our Ford rep in person and then again in an email.

Sadly, I do not get an R model for 16/17, just two standard GT350's (1 per year). I'm a little surprised we got snubbed for R's as we were one of the biggest volume Mustang dealers in our entire region last year. Plus, we received 2 Boss 302 Laguna Secas back in 12/13 which followed a very similar volume/allocation plan as the GT350 R. Oh well, anybody want to buy an F-150, Focus, Fusion, Escape, etc.? I've got plenty of those - LOL!

That's a little disconcerting. Did they say what the total allocation numbers will be or give you any reason why you got so few?

That's not a good sign. My local dealer told me they would get 2 non-R models. I assumed he meant per year. But now I guess it's just 1 per year. :frusty:
