stock, there is no modding the 18 right now. unless you want to see if you can get that e85 setup tune.

stock, don't believe the hype.

Take the stock, remove the carbon trap, fit a panel filter, it will perform as well as any CAI on the road / drag strip.

Look at it this way:

Lund made 443WHP stock with stock filter and carbon trap left in place.
Lund with JLT made 449WHP with JLT CAI, with hood open.

It is fair to say that 6WHP gain is from the hood being open, you do not drive around with your hood open.

Also the JLT will have higher IAT's on the street than stock intake, so even if you do gain 5WHP with that CAI, the fact IAT's are a few degrees hotter means the timing will be retarded a degree losing you that gain.

In conclusion, just stick with the stock intake.

2018 best results will no doubt come from headers, tune and E85, or just get a blower. :)

I agree with everyone else saying leave it stock, however in reference to this claim was this done same day on the same dyno?

Not worth the price, not worth $350 anyway. And you'd need a pricey dyno session to measure the miniscule difference anyway. Yes I have a BBK on my car, great product, fit/finish are very good but it's more like a $100 product than $350

Yup, agree...I have a brand new tune required PMAS in the box that I don't think I will use. And I've also heard that removing the carbon filter inside the stock box doesn't do diddly for flow.
Anyone wants my PMAS, pm me and I'll hook you up with a better deal than a vendor.

I'm looking at the new one-555-M2018cai, not the 15-17 version, when they come down in price I'll probably get one. I like the no tune factor of it, thanks-tony

Ahhhhh this nonsense again. The moment you start moving, the IAT goes down quick. The JLT made 10hp more in other dyno tests w/ different tunes. But hey.. whatever floats your boat.

The stock 2018 CAI is pretty good. Put your money towards a tune and/or headers. You will get more out of either of those than a CAI.

So out of curiosity has anyone dynoed their car before and after headers? I'm curious to see their results and not just what someone said.
