Today I removed the whole IRS from my 2016 GT350 Track Pack. I'm finally going to take the holiday weekend off to replace all the IRS and Differential bushings with Ford Performance aluminum bushings, Cortex lower control arm bearings front and rear, Ford performance toe arm bearings, BMR vertical links and BMR toe links. I'm also replacing the front lower control arm rubber bushings with Cortex bearings, vorshlag camber plates, my R calipers, R front and rear springs, R rear sway bar.

As I said I dropped the whole IRS cradle and what I noticed and can't believe is the left and right axle diameters.
The left axle is 1.300"
The right axle is 1.112"

Even the left CV joints are bigger. I didn't have my larger calipers to measure the CV joints but they are noticeably bigger. I hope I didn't get another fk up. Has anyone else seen this?

I'm not a mechanic by any means or pretend to be one, what are the advantages of this set up and does this lower the stance of the vehicle?

I'm removing all rubber bushing from the car to eliminate any movement. This will eliminate wheel hop and alignment changes when pushed. It will not lower the vehicle.

I've always heard that manufactures use different diameter half shafts to prevent wheel hop. I don't remember the exact theory behind it but perhaps someone else will chime in.

I just removed both axles and the differential side is 34 spline
The wheel bearing side is 32 spline.

The left cv joint is a lot bigger then the right side. Along with the left axle shaft. It to is also bigger. I'm going to go with the ford performance axles now.

Are teh part numbers on them? I wonder if they are really mismatched and you have a standard GT axle on one side.

I like to disassemble things.
That is the way they are supposed to be.

Smaller diameter on the right side?
I can't seem to find the ford performance part number. I'm going to upgrade them now. I might even put in the 4.09 gear.

It was posted yesterday per Ford Performance the 4.09 gear will not be offered.

"Ford Performance has verified the 4.09 gears have been axed. They would fit, but problems with several calibrations that would be needed (not speedo)"
