The issue is when the brakes are wet like from water from the road I don't get that inital bite like I normally get when they are dry. There is pedal, I feel the resistance and then the brakes come on as I ride them. What is the cause of this? Pads, rotors or fluid
I'm PP, OEM pads and Girodisc rotors.

Common with a higher performance pad in cool/wet weather and street driving. GT350 does exactly the same thing.

Oh okay. Thought it was just me.
I was doing some very spirited driving last weekend, drove through a storm, and traffic got bad hit brakes, wait for it, then started to slow down. Once dry/warm they were fine.

My powerstop pads are shit in the rain. Not only are they less effective they give this really grainy/scratchy/uncomfortable feeling in the pedal.

Ouch, that's not good. I'm going to PowerStop when the OEM are done.

I've actually been super happy with the powerstop track day pads, other than that they're dusty. Stopping power and feel has been great. Quiet too, once you get the rear pistons lined up with the dimples on the pads! :headbonk:. They're a little soft on bite in the cold (less than 50 F) for the very first application or two, after that, good.

I’ve always understood that it takes a moment to scrape the water off the rotors and pads as you apply the brakes in wet conditions if you haven’t touched them in a while. Pretty normal.

I bought the Brembo front brake kit for my 03 Cobra (now sold) years ago and I can't remember it ever failing to bite above 50F wet or dry.
