cross plane 5.2L with a 2.65L tvs @12psi. I believe CR is 10:1.So basically an Alluminator 5.2 XS with an upside down 2.6 TVS .Probably lower CR .?
Hmmmm .May be I will just build one(may be with gen 5 whipple) rather than wait 18 months .
If you don't need to deal with emissions, durability and cooling requirements, you can get an engine with pretty decent HP at a not so crazy price on a GT.cross plane 5.2L with a 2.65L tvs @12psi. I believe CR is 10:1.
There's a lot more to this new car then the engine itself. It's gonna be pretty bad ass.
From what I’ve heard (my brother’s best friend worked with the Predator engine) it will be in the lower 700 area, however if someone do that build without messing with regulations as Nameless said, they can be in the higher 700 area I guess..... but I just need it go fast in a straight line .Big brakes are just go to add weight and slow things down .
someone should build a CP 5.2 with 10.1CR / GT 350 heads/2.6 TVS @12psi to give us an idea of how much power to expect from the GT 500.
I'm hearing the same thing. Low 700rwhp range from the factory. From what I’ve heard (my brother’s best friend worked with the Predator engine) it will be in the lower 700 area, however if someone do that build without messing with regulations as Nameless said, they can be in the higher 700 area I guess.
Ford doesn't normally quote WHP, only power at the crank. If this thing truly is low 700 WHP, we're talking HIGH 700's at the crank. Right?I'm hearing the same thing. Low 700rwhp range from the factory.
As mentioned I've heard that the car will make just over the 700rwhp mark. That would put the engine hp rating higher. Just not sure what calculation is accurate to get the number everyone wants.Ford doesn't normally quote WHP, only power at the crank. Assuming 710 HP and 12% drivetrain losses, that's 795 HP at the crank. That can't be right.
You have renewed my interest in this car. I was hoping for 750+, so I think its a real possibility at 700RWHP. I'm sure the guys that were getting the info at ford on the dyno were reading in RWHP not BHP, but could be wrong, but hoping so.As mentioned I've heard that the car will make just over the 700rwhp mark. Also keep in mind that the transmission in this car is going to make a big difference in how fast it is as well. Just like the A10 2018's are wicked fast for their power the supposed 7 speed that will be in the GT500 should make that thing fly.You have renewed my interest in this car. I've been hearing its going to be crazy fast. Low 700's I wouldn't say is crazy, but I would say mid to high 700's is there.
