@BMR Tech

I have FRPP track shocks and struts in a box at home and bmr SP083 on order. Would i need to "clock the bushings" on these as well? If so, do you have a description of "clocking" for these bushings? I am planning to install these myself when the springs come in. Thanks.
Any time you change the ride height this should be done. The procedure is in the post, just loosen the joint while the cars weight is on it and re-torque.

The best way to perform this is get the car on a drive on lift, or blocks or drive on ramps. The car needs to be level and sitting on all 4.

Loosen all of the suspension pivot point bolts enough to where there is no load on the nuts.

After ALL of them are loose, go ahead and RE-torque them all to OEM specified values.

Is there a high-level list of points to do this on? I wouldn't think the sway bars, IRS bushings and diff bushings would need to be touched, right? I'm thinking just control arms, right?

Here is the list from BMR. I'm not sure how you could be more specific...

FRONT: (anywhere there are rubber bushings)
Front Radius Control Arm - inner mount
Front Lower Control Arm - inner mount

REAR: (anywhere there are rubber bushings)
Upper Camber Link - inner and outer mounts
Toe Link Outer Knuckle Bushing
Rear Control Arm Front Inner Mount
Rear Control Arm to Knuckle Mounts

Is it imperative to do it on all four or can it be done one by one by jacking up the LCA to the proper height?

These pivot points are as follows:

FRONT: (anywhere there are rubber bushings)
Front Radius Control Arm - inner mount
Front Lower Control Arm - inner mount

REAR: (anywhere there are rubber bushings)
Upper Camber Link - inner and outer mounts
Toe Link Outer Knuckle Bushing
Rear Control Arm Front Inner Mount
Rear Control Arm to Knuckle Mounts
Any pics where these are located would help a lot.

I only put the arrows on on side for each component, do everything on both sides.

So all that needs to be done is to put the car on all fours under its own weight, loosen the points that the red arrows are pointing too, then re-tighten to torque specs, correct? Seems simple enough, I made some large blocks made out of wood today that I can put under the car when jacked up and set it on that raise my car about 7-8 inches. Shouldn't be any issues......

Does Ford complete this process at the factory? Assembled in such a manner that its not necessary?

From what I have seen, most cars are fine as delivered.

However, I would be willing to bet, many could benefit from performing this task. As a matter of fact, for those who have inconsistent ride heights, I would be clocking the bushings would help many of those people.

Do we have the torque specs for just these point with the red arrows? I'm going to try this on my car and see how it work out, had my spring installed a couple of weeks ago and didn't have this done at the time.

Is this also the same procedure on 11-14 stangs? I intend to have my 16 Gt/cs lowered by my installer who also lowered my 15 focus st last month. im assuming he had to do this also to my focus st, and it came out perfect.....never got it to the alignment done either there was alittle negative camber but wasn't wearing my tires. I then traded That car for my 16 Gt/Cs. The last thing i want to happen is the car not to be level and ride worse. I assume most installers are aware of what kelly is talking about on how to do this correctly!

I wouldn't assume that. Most shops can't even figure out how to adjust the rear camber on this car.

The reason why i use my installer is that he is a friend of a friend of mine and a mustang guy, he has 3 of them. He's been working on them for over 20 years. I will definately talk him before the install just to make sure!
