What is the purpose of the cable, just a safety feature in the event those vents decide to fly off the hood? I mean, it’s not an electrical ground strap or any electrical harness, right?

Yes, it's electrical. 2016s have flashers in the hood vents.

Detailed her and went to the weekly cruise night. I was surprised at the amount of attention, compliments and questions she elicited, and from a much younger generation than the average age of the usual crowd. That is a good sign.

Went for my 6 month oil change (mandated by Roush) and found both my half shafts were leaking AGAIN. Just replaced both of them 900 miles ago in February. This is a Stage 3 that I haven't used for anything but shows in the last 6 months - no severe duty. Not happy with my Ford Performance Half Shafts.

They aren't just leaking, They are loose. I would have them cleaned and tightened or plain replaced under warranty.

Actually they're not electrical, the cord is attached to a part in the back to keep them from flying off i would guess. Not to mention these aren't my og vents, i ordered them used without the turn signals from eBay before i sold my roush vents.

Drove it and didn't get an engine light. Fingers crossed that the air leak is fixed...

No, they aren't electrical, the flashers have an electrical connection on them & a whole harness back to the body. Besides, if you look at the vents, they don't have the turn indicators.

Removed and gutted my stock grills. Got the mounting tabs all placed and goop'd on and the customcargrills temporarily strapped in. Gonna wait and let the goop cure. Plan is to finish the install of the grills along with my howler badge on Monday after my upcoming concert weekend in the city (Kenny Chesney Saturday night and Foo Fighters Sunday).

Got my box from AmericanMuscle tonight. Installed the JLT 3.0 Oil can in about 30 seconds. Tried to install the Steeda clutch spring, but I'm going to need to get some needle nose vice grips for that. Then tried to install my Steeda heal/toe pedal covers but ran in to problems mounting the clutch a brake pedals. using the existing hole for the top screw put the bottom screw too close to the pedal arm for the nut to clear, so I think I'm going to just use the top screws, then use a healthy amount of epoxy to hold the rest of it without using the nut on the bottom screw. I don't see why that shouldn't hold it.

Finished my pedal install. If you don't have them get Cobalt drill bits. Like hot knife through butter. Got to be careful. I also had a hard time with clearance on lower clutch pedal. I ended up not using the washer and the nut is basically tightened by wedging against the arm. These are not the steeda though.

Just installed my WC Lathe Werks Titanium shift knob w/ GT logo. It really turned out nice and the etching is very sharp and detailed. Great quality.
Stock knob is 5.01oz/142g Titanium is 8.57oz/243g
Height/Rotation adjustment is done very simply via a set screw inside. Hex wrench provided.
