I hate clutch protection. (im assuming thats what my issue is).

I did not do overly hot, tho I ran a couple more 8.4's but I noticed it felt like something was holding it back in 1st and a little bit after the 1-2 shift. I cut a 1.9 60ft on a run and then she cut back and I was only able to muster an 8.5 run. After letting it cool down for 30 minutes, I launched lazy (2.1 60ft) and felt it hold back a tad but after the 1-2 shift she pulled harder than Ive felt it pull on the track and I was able to pick up a mph at the end and ran another 8.4 despite the lazy 60. I need a tuner sooner than I thought I guess! Im sick of this BS holding me back. I was hoping to try and knock down some 1.8-1.9 60s and maybe see an 8.3-8.2 but nope. Clutch protection isnt having it. To be fair, the weather wasnt the best. A guy in a 2016 auto car was runnin 8.3's and he said he normally runs 8.0's all day long and was shooting for 7.9's. We were all doing better than the poor Hellcat that couldnt get his stuff sorted out. He was spinnin into the 9's most of the night and eventually ran an 8.1 I believe lol

Havnt posted in here in forever but Ive been chipping away at my ET's every Tues that I can. This season I got into the 7.9x range with the JLT/FFtune/Catback on Continentals and ran a 7.8 on some Nittos. I added a 2018 manifold, used SP catted longtubes and FINALLY tossed the Bias Ply Mickey's on and went out for some fun.

Was 93* with a DA of 2588. Started out launching soft to feel it out and bumped up the RPM each launch. I also figured out that shifting around 7800-8000 was working really well on the last two runs.

Run 1: 7.85 @ 90.72 w/ 1.75 60ft Almost a PB

Run 2:*8.18 @ 68.36 w/ 1.67 60ft missed 3rd and coasted to finish

Run 3: 7.66 @ 92.24 w/ 1.66 60ft New PB!

Run 4: 7.55 @ 92.72 w/ 1.62 60ft Even better!

Im going again tomorrow and will try to bump up the launch RPM a tad higher and see if I can get the 60's into the 1.5 range. SO MUCH FUN, wish I had bought these tires as the first mod. Cant wait to see what this thing will do in some good air and lower temps!

Good deal... I need to get a set of rears for my new Hoosiers. The 17x9 Cobra reps I bought wont clear the caliper. :headbonk:
