I have about 6k miles on my car 2k of them with my procharger. I do not baby my car, So needless to say i need a new clutch i was looking at the McLeod RST with aluminum fly wheel. But it says not recommended for drag racing why is that?

It's still has organic disc, it will heat up and slip after time. Spend a little more and get the RXT with the lightened steel flywheel... you won't regret it!

I have an RST on my Whippled '05. Been to the track a few times with drag radials and no issues so far at 597 RWHP. I do know a couple of guys on the forums that did have slipping issues after too many hard launches.

I highly doubt that it will slip. I am still on the stock clutch with my whipple SC. It hasn't slipped yet.

From what I've been hearing, once it slips one time...it's toast. Mine has been great though. I would have bought the RXT in the first place if I had known, but so far so good.

I thought and said the same thing. In fact I made a post on this board about how great my stocker was holding up. Within 24 hours it was toast. Literally.

I'm going with a ACT single disc. The stock clutch has held up fine for me. Multiple launches and burnouts without slipping. My first dyno, my car made 622rwhp and 515rwtq. That was before I upgraded the TB and tune.
