Just picked my Gt350 from the dealer today after having them fix a "Service Charging System" (Turned out to be a damaged connector) and change my brake pads back to stock after a track weekend.
I was driving home and noticed after 15 miles of highway driving (62 mph in 5th, outside temp is mid 80's) the temp needle still was not in the middle between C and H as it usually is. Oil temp was normal. I Checked cylinder head temp and it was @ 175-181 for several miles. Revved it out and it felt flat. The next time I looked (probably 30 seconds later) it is 195 and rising, car felt like it had more power. Idling in my driveway after I got home it was 218 before I shut it off.
To me it seems as though the thermostat may be sticking open. I know is a fairly common occurrence in these cars.
What do you guys think?
