I'm taking our 2015 GT / PP to the WannaGOFAST 1/2 mile event in Ocala, FL Saturday 1.24. It will be bone stock with approx 750 miles on the clock. It is run on a private airport runway.

The game plan is to make a few bone stock runs to establish a base line then add a programmer and document the difference. After a few passes with just the programmer I'll add a JLT True Cold Air intake system. The final passes will be made with the CAI & Tune.

I'd like to see 135+ MPH on the final runs, but I have no idea what it will really run. What do you think it will run?

Hmmm....If the car can run 112-113MPH in the quarter that would only be a 22MPH increase in the next quarter mile.

I think that is doable.

0-150MPH was about 26 seconds as tested by a couple of the magazines. I bet you hit 145 or a little higher.

The GA 1/2 Mile up in Clayton will be the middle of September. I'm not aware of one in August. It just depends on our regular NMRA season is going as to weather or not I can make it. I'd like too. The Saturday date in FL sold out in less than five minutes, both days were sold out in about fifteen minutes. I'll check out the FB page.

I'm told Boss 302's with a bunch of mods have been know to run in the 140's at these events, so I just don't know.

Good luck. Keep us posted and share a video of your run :).

Very curious to see what a stock GT PP will run.

I ran my 2011 5.0 at the Texas mile and it did 135mph in the 1/2 mile(154mph at the mile mark) with a BBR tune, Magnaflow catback and a lowered suspension. Everything else stock. I would expect a bone-stock 2015 to do right at 130mph in the 1/2 mile.

Says 3.73's in his sig but he can answer for sure. :)

As for a guess, running stock, somewhere between 130 and 135 after the 1/2 mile.

Wow...that is surprising. Would've expected more MPH. Goes to show you how bad my guess was:headbonk:

I will change my prediction and say 135.7MPH.

I wish that I had my car for the Ocala event. However, I might drive up to GA in September.

Yup 3.73 gears which are great for 1/4 mile, ok for 1/2 mile, and absolute shit for the standing full mile. My first run I hit the rev limiter and shifted into 6th gear and actually lost MPH crossing at 151. My second run I held 5th as long as I could grazing the limiter(7,300rpm at the time) and did the 154mph.

With 3.73 gears, 27.7" tires, and 7,000rpm limit you will top 4th at around 115-117mph and shift into 5th gear at around 5,300rpm. 135mph will be right around 6,100rpm which is pretty well in the meat of the powerband.

I was thinking about changing my 3.73 gears out for 3.31 gears since I am going with the whipple SC kit.
