What's everyone's thoughts on the availability of the upcoming GTPP2 wheel/tire new takeoffs. Do you think they'll be sold pretty regularly? Or will people opting for the PP2 be keen on keeping them?

Do any of you guys that plan on buying a PP2 intend to run aftermarket wheels?

I want a set for my 16 GT and will be willing to pay a decent anount but I'm just curious to see if anyone will even be selling them.

Thoughts?

They will likely be sold separately, and there is always someone that doesn't like the stock wheels.

Agreed. It'll be about the same percentage of availability has the current PP between people that want after market, take-offs from conversion, and wrecked vehicles. Because there will be fewer PP2 cars sold, there will be fewer out there, but there will be some.

If you're interested in aftermarket, the design of Verde Axis looks very similar to the PP2 wheels.

Also the Avant Garde M580

Thinking about picking these up as you can get custom finishes and offsets for a perfect fit. I love the look of the PP2 wheels but would like a 19x9.5 square setup. Plus my understanding is the 580s only weigh around 21 or so lbs. Verde Axis might be my second choice, and they are not very expensive.

Damn! I like those MMRs a lot.
Are they a replica of the OEMs or are they a little different?

The GTPP 2 setup will be epic, The thing is this setup has been done before many times since 16.

But Im super happy to see them bringing out a wider proper platform of wheels for the car factory as well.

I thought really wide wheels were not good from a handling perspective? I know having more rubber in the back helps with launches, but isn't it a negative when it comes to curves? 10.5 with 295 is a really wide tire for the front.
