You're giving away your expensive Torsen limited slip for a basic clutch style limited slip in that swap.

Consider just swapping in the gears themsleves. They aren't very expensive, though the installation labor will cost more than a pumpkin swap.

Gear install is a lot more involved. Install them incorrectly and they'll whine and wear prematurely

I swapped from 3.73's to 3.31's and am very happy. Don't trade the 3.73's, just buy a new diff take-off. I bought mine from Athens Ford, less than $300. Your 3.73 is worth a lot more than that, not a fair trade.

Exactly what I did and for the same reason. Athens was great to deal with.
Now I just need to install it.

Happy to swap pumpkins with someone wanting a 3.31 diff. The clutch pack is a little better for straight line stuff anyway, not nearly as sensitive to tire load. I don't mind the gearing but want the torsen. 3.73 is fine for me now, as I don't do much highway driving nor mind the shifting.
