On the 6.5 inch speakers, the connectors are pressed into the speaker casing and can be removed and reused. Simply cut the retaining tabs and press out the connector.
Did you get a full range signal from that channel? I connected a two way today and got nothing out of the tweeter.

I got plenty of high end with the 638's. This is for the rears.

White-Green is Left speaker positive
Brown-Yellow is Left speaker negative
Brown-white is Right speaker positive
Brown-Blue is Right speaker negative
The smaller gauge Blue-white wire is the 12v switched

S550s have been out for a while, has anyone had any luck with finding plug and play speakers yet?

Doing a visual inspection, it seems my GT350 w/ Tech is the "base" system speakers with the 3.5" center channel in the dash. Can anyone else confirm?

JBL's fixed my muddy sound issue. Very happy with this set up. No more center dominated, AM radio sound on my 201a. Never had issue with Bass on my system.

Front 3.5's. GTO 329
Front 6.5's. GTO 628
Rear 6.5's. GTO 638

Is there an online guide to show how to connect an amplifier to the base radio wiring? Any pointing to a detailed thread describing this, would be very much appreciated.

Can any 6.5" door speakers work, and what size or model tweeter is known to fit into that space ?
Thanks in advance for any replies.

Good Morning Folks, wonderful forum and I am so glad I found you folks on the web. I hope I'm not reviving too old a thread but I'm about to take on the replacement of the factory amp in my 15 GT and have been studying the wiring diagram posted by SMDANDB2 and think I understand most of what I am looking at. I'm afraid I will be showing my ignorance here but....What are the Noise Cancellation + and - I see noted on the schematic? I've also been wondering if the items listed on the Mouser website are wire harnesses to enable me to plug directly from the existing car wiring into an aftermarket amplifier? Cannot tell, those links appear to be dead now. Any help appreciated.:ford:
