Local dealer has a fresh 2018 GT350 R they want $12,000 adm. so it'd be just over $81k before tax. I'm tempted....very tempted. I know there's some folks that have gotten them for less than that and even some claim to have acquired one at sticker. What do you guys think? Yay, or nay? It's white with the blue stripes and the electronics package plus a cover.

If this is the color combination and the option package that you want then I suggest at the very most a $5K ADM otherwise I would suggest that you keep looking for the color combination of your choice.

Personally I would have no problem at offering MSRP and walking away with the intention of looking for the color/stripe combination that you really want.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Be prepared to walk. And do so. If they dont stop you on the way out the door, then keep walking.

I got a MSRP deal last week but I with no moreproduction until March and ending in June the dealer ADMs will probably start creeping back up.

Wait till the dealers see this and learn the R stands fore rare!

I'm still negotiating with the sales manager. I went up to $6000 adm. I'll see what he comes back with.

That's old news. The 2018 numbers will closely match production numbers from 2016 for R models.... Give or take about 500ish. They built a lot of 17's, but that was an all out effort. Nothing special about '18's IMHO.

15's were a true limited production run.

Oh, and the latest rumor is they will have a '19MY. Who knows.....

Yea agree nothing special did not know this was old news!

No matter what I bought the car because I enjoy the car not for a investment but if looses less value over the years I wont complain.

Homes are investments cars are generally money pits as investments.

Aaaah....you got impulsed. When I went on my R hunt, I was looking for a $5K ADM deal and end up having an MSRP deal fall in my lap. Don’t go higher than your $6K. I can’t blame you though. I was very close to pulling the trigger on a $7500 ADM before I found my car.

I completely agree. I remember when that Ford document came out. It was shared by a member here with me before it was public. It was a hard secret to keep. As soon as that memo came out there was a huge spike in ADM's.

So on another point, I think an R could be attained right now in the 5K mark without too much trouble. Obviously, this is not a "walk into your dealer and buy it" kind of car, but they are around. The new 500 coming will detract peoples interest in the 350 and 350R to some degree based upon the "latest and greatest thing". Its not out now, nor will it be for over another year, but I think that the market is somewhat affected. Heck, I am seriously considering selling one of my R's for MSRP plus a shared cost for all the mods and work that went into it. However at this point, I think I will wait a bit.

So, Wriggley, if you are willing to do a bit of legwork, I think you can do better, but it is your money and spend it anyway you want.
