First pics of everything fitted up.
No bad, but shop owner said it will take serious work to get things 100%.
I know these are aftermarket and from 3 different vendors, so I don't expect OEM.
I'm going to the shop tomorrow to see in person.

Stopped by Friday and took a look.
Overall, not bad. Not perfect, but they got everything the best they could. One thing of note, the hood is HEAVY!
The prop rod has it's work cut out for it now!
If I had to do it all again, since I did the whole front, I might have gone for the real OEM parts.
But these parts were $2377 shipped.
OEM about $5900.
You get what you pay for.
I think it'll look ok, though when all finished up.

Interesting. I saw the "lightweight steel GT350 hood" on MrBodyKit and wondered how lightweight it could really be. Its interesting that its the only GT350 hood available right now with the proper body lines that actually work with standard Mustang panels.

Looks killer so far. Can't wait to see it with color and trim on it.

Thanks. I hate to lift a "fullweight" one! ;)
Just ordered the Steeda struts. Hopefully they can keep it open!

All done.
The shop did an excellent job of lining everything up!
The ACC still works, too!

Man, that car looks killer. I'm so tempted to do this myself...

Wow that looks great. Looks like the shop did an excellent job lining things up. That is one mean looking front end. You can almost hear it growl. Thumbs up man

Thanks, guys!
$2377 for the kit from Mrbodykit (ordered way back in late July)
$2100 for the paint and install.

My only concern is the weight of the hood, I think I feel it a bit in the handling.
I think this is it, though, until a lighter weight option comes out.
The lines on all these pieces are pretty true to OEM.
As close as you can get I think, without going full blown OEM.

I'm simply curious, trying to get in your head. So don't tear mine off for asking the question.

Especially considering you have a premium, then all the money you've done on 350 mods; why didn't you just buy a used '350 in the first place?

Regardless, that shop you took it to did a great job! Car looks good!

Hey, H@mmer, good question.
With the total money I spent on the front/rear, wheels...I am at used 350 money.
But they don't have an auto, and for my daily driver, I like my auto and ACC.

"lightweight" steel.
a bit heavier than stock, not too bad.
The 4 month delay was for these fenders.
"Working on quality issues they said".
They lined up better than I expected. I am very pleased with them.

I wouldn't mind just the front fenders. Don't need the bumper, but want that air flow out of the wheel well that those fenders look like they'd offer up.

Know how much the fenders weighed?

thanks to zackmd1, who weighed them...
Stock ones are 4.5lbs, these are 9.5.
So, an extra 10 lbs total.

I think the fenders are the pieces I am most pleased with.
I LOVE the look of the hood, but it's so freaking heavy.
