Michellin just had their Pilot Sport 4S Tire Launch event in Palm Springs several days ago. They are available for pre-order now and the price is about the same compare to supersport. I saw three sizes are related to our cars.

295/30ZR19 $333.70
305/30ZR19 $369.70
325/30ZR19 $363.70
Prices are based on tirerack.com and they will be available on 3/1 according to tirerack.

Hmm, only a 293/35/R19 looks like its planned (for Mercedes), but no mention of 305/35/R19 if you want to stay with the stock size....

Yep. I just chatted with Michelin online support and they couldn't tell me about any 305/35/19 that might have been unlisted.

So do people recommend just go with the 295/30 and 305/30 (or square with 305?) and the sidewall height change is really no big deal?

Will Michelin continue to make the Super Sport, or is this a direct replacement?

I think I read that this is a direct replacement so the PSS will be phased out.

+1 i confirmed the same thing with the rep at NAIAS this year.

On a separate note, strange that the 325 tire is actually cheaper than the 305...

Will be interested to see what OEM sizing for the 18 is.....it would be cool if OEM went 305/325, but I doubt that.

This is the first time I've seen some pricing info. Great news that it's only a small price increase over the PSS. Thanks for posting!

Good pricing to my eyes. I figured they'd bump prices for a while.

Don't expect too much if any upgrade over stock, Michelin has a habit of rolling new compounds/construction into a old name for OEM's before the new tire model is out.

A 305/35-19 is a total screwball size. Don't bank on many options above the number of fingers on one hand. I run 305/30-19 all around on my factory wheels. 10.5 vs 11" difference front to rear is completely negligible . Not ideal, but not hurting anything by any means.

Its highly likely that our "supersports" are in fact PS4 in rubber compound and internal construction. Some Porsche came with SuperSports that were labeled "PS2" because they came out shortly before the SuperSport was publicly available.

What I'm saying is go ahead and get PS4 when you need new tires, but don't expect some new transcendent experience.
