Hmmm...a 2018 GT with 301A and PP is $41,990 (Magneride another $1,695, if the OP does not want to lose this feature coming from the C7), plus tax, etc. and maybe other mods like exhaust (if OP doesn't opt for active exhaust, which would be another $895) t. I don't think $40k+ is very exaggerated. Ok, this does not include discounts or picking up one that's on the dealership lot already.
40k in question is in modifications alone after the price of the car lol.

If it were me, I'd look for a leftover 2017 PP Mustang and save $10K.[/QUOTE]

Good point there. + throw a Paxton on it and enjoy

I had a 2015 base GT with the base radio. My only complaint about the car was the radio.
I've got a base 2016 GT w/ PP and one or two other random options (backup sensors and whatnot), and I felt the same way about the stereo. It was the only place the car didn't feel worth the price, so I upgraded the head unit/screen, all interior speakers, and added a sub with a big ported box to the trunk. Now I absolutely love listening to music in the car, and the 8" touchscreen looks 1000x better than the base 4" non-touch screen with all the surrounding buttons.

Great!

It make me thing that they're was another thing that piss me off about the car, the mt82 transmission thats why I went with the A10 on the 2018 but that's another story! Just hope the new mt82-d4 is really better.

Mine is manual too, and while I wasn't ever impressed with the transmission/shifter stock, it wasn't a "negative" about the car per se. That being said, I did upgrade to the MGW shifter and absolutely love it.

To be honest new I like it a lot. But between many powershift, a 4k miles warranty rebuild and another again on warranty at 8k miles I threw the towel lol.
This being said if you don't powershift too much or at all the mt82 is ok.

Supposedly they improve synchro and fork in 2018 if it's true it will make a big difference.
But again without abuse the pre 2018 mt82 is good! Not for me do

I'm just wondering what the trade value on a c7 is? I would think a used c7 is worth about the same as a brand new mustang which would make the trade moot.

Have you been to any dealers to get some rough estimates of what you can expect for the Corvette?

You are already 2 years into the Vette. I would not start over specially if you are buying a wrangler.

Obviously get the wrangler, finish paying off vette. See what comes out when finished paying for vette. I imagine the vette will be more fun and capable on the track. More power, lesser weight = better everything on track.

I've thought about a leftover 2017 but suspect I might regret the not getting the 18.

Depends on year, mileage, etc. Accoding to KBB I would expect to get $45-46K for my car. I have had good luck getting KBB value, but yeah I would not take less than $44K for it.

I may end up doing that. But at some point if I rarely drive the Vette because I am running kids around then it defeats the purpose of owning one. I don't really want a garage queen. On the plus side I bought the car used in winter and it had 2K miles and was way under book value. Sat on the dealer lot for 120+ days and nobody buys Corvettes in New England in February.

It was one of those mid life crisis decisions. I make good money but also have to plan for three kids and college in the future.
