Check out this vid.

Its an $800 dollar piece that replaces the front planetary.

Car then uses 1,2,3 and 4th as what would normally be 6th as overdrive.

Pretty cool vid. Says the switch is good for about 3/10ths off the 1/4.

:headbang:

Would be even more fun with a 4 or 5k stall too. on a NA setup.

End of the vid shows what rear gear to use for desired top end / trap speed too.

Well, did you get your install done yet? Ford specs for a 2015 6R80 are:
First 4.17 Second 2.34 Third 1.52 Fourth 1.14 Fifth 0.87 Sixth 0.69
The listed PBH specs for the 4R200 converted 6R80 are:
First 2.74 Second 1.54 Third 1.00 Fourth 0.69
This sounds good for any serious boosted application as well as any Coyote swap application, stronger and simpler.

You dont have drop all that cash for a 4r200 hub . your tuner can set your 6r80 to not downshift into 1st gear and you can start off in second everytime. I didnt do that when i did my stage 2 build but i use the paddles to start off in 2 second gear everytime i come to a traffic light .it works pretty good. I will be adding 3:15 gears to replace my 3:55’s soon that will reduce the 1st gear super low ratio..

That's not exactly the same and I would venture to say not nearly as strong as the added $800 in parts for the 4R200 conversion.

I wouldn’t recommend what i said on a stock transmission, i’m talking about a built trans only.

That's what I was saying, the 4R200 is only an additional $800 parts during the build for a real improvement.
