Kenne Bell 2.8 Installed, Runs Really Rough

Got the 2.8 KB installed. After putting the startup tune in it I have some issues. Car idles fine at 750rpm. As soon as I rev the car there is noticeable hesitation. Putting the car in gear and loading it up gives the same result. Runs rough, hesitates, and won't go past 3000 rpm, and letting off the throttle i get some exhaust popping. At idle I see 20 inhg on the vac gauge, but it doesnt move up like it did stock. What i mean by that as i increase load the gauge goes to around 10 inhg and fluctuates. I did notice the the passenger pcv line to the back of the intake was sucking itself in, so I replaced it with a reinforced line.

I data logged idle and a slow rev so hopefully someone can put my mind at ease about an install issue as I'm freaking out somethings really messed up.

Goes without saying but go over every single hose and double check wiring, sensors etc to rule out any installer error.

What TB? and who is tuning your car?

I did experienced some of these habits and all are gone once I moved to a respected tuner.

I had something as simple as counting the wires off the maf wrong during my install. You could start there and just double check the correct wire was used for IAT

You can see the hesitation in the log. The throttle body is not opening and RPMs are raising from spark advance(between flag 1 and 2)note the orange and purple lines. When it does start to open it is choppy and RPMs drop a bit(between flag 2 and 3) note the MAF. Then it steadies out and RPM raise normal.

I don't see any large fuel error so probably not MAF related. I am guessing you have an issue with your TB or the tune has the wrong TB data in it.

I pulled some data out of the log file when I tried to drive it around the block. This is a sample from 3000 to 4800 rpm. Is there a way to test the TB and make sure its opening all the way? After the install I verified free movement.

Here is the data from driving around the block. https://datazap.me/u/racingmason23/k...mark=1429-2511

And a snipet:

Yes u look at pedal portion % and throttle %actual, this will tell u what the throttle pedal is at and the actual throttle blade itself.

It looks good. I also pulled the intake off and visually checked to see if it opens and it follows the pedal input all the way open. The car runs ok other than the massive hesitation at 2 to 3k. Then the boost hits and it seems fine until you let off the throttle and the exhaust pops non stop. Hard let offs from 1.4 to 3.8 throttle yield a loud backfire.

Plugs are new NGK 6510s gapped to .022.

I'll try that haven't ran .022 since my kb terminator days so it didn't seem to far fetched for me. Sucks I got to pull the blower to change the drivers side. At 1/4 throttle highway speed it hits hard at 3k and that's from 1500 roll on. It doesn't feel like a pd blower more like a turbo and then it take off. The hesitation comes in

I checked for vacuum leaks with smoke and there were none.

Yea if u meant,32 I would go to 28,and i.usually use feeler gauges to set my plugs, those silver dollar tapered gappers are not wort a fu!!!!!.I wouldn't think u would have hesation at 3k rpm with a 32 gap though.
